NIOS 10th exam 2021 cancelled, postponed 12th exam

NEW DELHI: National Institute of Open School on Wednesday decided to cancel the class 10 examination (secondary courses) and postpone class 12 exams (senior secondary and vocational courses) in view of the prevailing situation of the Covid-19 pandemic in the country.

Issuing a notice on Monday, S.K. Prasad, director (Evaluation) said, the public examinations in theory and practical of senior secondary and vocational courses scheduled in June 2021 are hereby postponed till further order. The NIOS is keeping a close watch on the situation and will be reviewed by 20th June 2021. The notification in this regard will be issued 15 days in advance prior to the actual date of examinations, it added.

Notice further reads “The public examinations in theory and practical of secondary courses scheduled in June 2021 are hereby cancelled. The NIOS will devise suitable criteria for assessment and results will be prepared in the best interest of Learners. Any learner who is not satisfied with the result so computed will be allowed to appear in Public examinations or through on-demand examination as and when the situation becomes conducive to hold the examinations.”
